Tamara, there’s a cleaner for pet odors called Atmosklear and you can buy it online. It gets rid of both cat and dog pee odors. You can scrub the mattress with it and it’s really amazing.
Good to know since my dog peed in my bed last night.
I lived in Anchorage Alaska in the 1980's and there were so many fatalities due to hitting moose.
The moose there were so massive...
I've only seen one moose up close. I was staying in my son's guest cottage (NH). He called to tell me it was walking up the road within a few feet of my porch but also warned me to stay clear. It was huge and AWESOME!
Well, back from my window shopping and the trip down there wasn't too bad. As it was, the return trip was on the same path as my grand tour shopping, so target of opportunity and got that done. But then......slow poke bumper to bumper traffic when I got to my town. Finally opted to leave the highway when I saw the sign that said lanes closed at my normal exit. Going through town, reroutings and more bumper to bumper for holiday festivals and graduation. Which all goes to show.......
.......plan your energy for the trip out and for the trip back and leave lots of reserve.
OP, your post "Going into town, anyway" brought back some sweet memories. I spent a significant percentage of my life living elsewhere and between me and my ex, one of us was usually "Going into town, anyway".
Gosh I have literally not been in a shopping mall in at least 15 years. Last time I went I remember feeling less than safe with all the hoodlum looking teens wandering around.
It's been a long time since I've been to a mall, too. Concerns about safety killed the Rolling Acres mall in the Akron, Ohio area.
I think this is so profound that it bears repeating. It is easy to fall down the path of fear, fear of others, fear of our own abilities, fear of that which we are not familiar with, among others.
You can find yourself in that tiny envelope, and not experiencing life.
Such a good reminder.
Rabbit holes are not good places to find yourself in.
The Mall is the zone between the United States Capitol and the Washington Monument with a grass field in the middle. It is lined on the long sides with many museums and at one time, was the home of Uncle Breazley. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Mall (as I recall from childhood memories)
Curious thing about it was when I was in the service, my Parents visited me where I was stationed a time or two. My Father once asked where I would like to go. "Can we go to the Mall?" I asked and he, being fed up with females who spent so much time shopping, responded, "Absolutely not!".......not thinking the way I was.
As things go, the memories of a child probably would not have the aggravations of an adult dealing with such traffic.....and as things go now, I love being out in the country but all my calculations to go somewhere start with 25 minutes to first get to "civilization".
