You seem to tell us a lot about the place you’ve never been?
No, not really, I'm quite upfront with things I don't know, unlike some people here. But you seem to have a sharp edge you just can't seem to shake. Someone pissed in your cereal, "independent" man? Feel free to list for me all the places in Providence that feature drag acts and that are not affiliated with the gay community in some way?

You make a good point. I do have an edge. I guess kindness doesn't come naturally to some of us. But, I am working on it. Thanks for reminding me to do better.

Yes, it is. It's a very bro dude sports bar (with a healthy wigger element late when they have DJs). I've been to this place A LOT (its where I get my college football fix and they're usually good enough to put my Badgers on a small TV when I'm in (Incidently they're one of the few places I've been to in New England that have midwest style fried cheese curds... and they're good, though their default is serve them with marinara, so you have to ask for ranch.). They have those things there but its filled with 20 something college girls (totally straight vibing crowd) when they do. It's not qu**r in any way, shape or form. Not one little bit. It's the sports bar version of drag queen story time, its decidely un-qu##r.

LOL, lots of places have drag queen brunches. The group travels. They were just at Buttonwoods Brewery, and I know they've done Brass Monkey and Massimo restaurant
Is anyplace completely straight? How would management verify that, and keep it legal?
It's not about verification, it's about some businesses are not only gay-owned but also opened to cater to gay customers, and of course most are not. And of course most people are aware of the reasons for this so I won't get into all that.

That's a new one on me. Never saw a mainstream sports bar featuring drag shows on their website. That said, I don't spend much time in bars.

Black Sheep is your average bar; they neither cater to or exclude anyone. Except maybe they cater to PC fans lol. There's no such thing as a 100% straight bar - you know that, right?

I've been around for a while and in all kinds of establishments, but please see above response for your answer to this question. You do realize there are reasons why gay bars exist, right?
Just another a-hole who's insecure of his own masculinity offended by what people do behind closed doors. Yes, the bar may be "Public" but if this kind of place offends you, stay the heck away.
