"A high school principal was assaulted and multiple people were arrested at Mount Pleasant High School in Providence on Wednesday, GoLocal has learned.
It marks the latest in a series of violent incidents and arrests at the public school in the city."
"The victim, a woman in her 30s, told police she had been at the parking garage located at 1 Sabin Street and was taking an elevator when the incident occurred.
She told police two females in the elevator with her refused to let her leave; when she did, she said they threw her to the ground and began to punch her.
The victim told police the suspects then grabbed her wallet before fleeing."
GoLocal said this happened in a church parking lot near Chalkstone Ave and River Ave. That's the border of the Elmhurst and Valley neighborhoods. I'm not aware of any church near there.
Maybe they meant Chalkstone Ave and Academy Ave? There's a church in that area (behind the Citizens Bank).
Regardless, they caught the guy.
"Antonio Ramirez Diaz, age 60 — was arrested; a gun was found in the car, say police, who seized the weapon."

So this was in the Mount Pleasant area or Dyerville area between city golf courses.
Sounds like a Craigslist Sneaker seller lures in buyers showing up with cash. I'm surprised it doesnt happen more with larger ticket items.
