dont worry chim prob sees fresno is suppose to be 1 or 2 degrees hotter this upcoming week compared to sacto (think 108 in fresno 106 in sac) he will probably will put on a coat and say sacto is so much colder and no where as close to hot or unbearable as any other san joaquin valley city
he'll be ok. he probably getting that jacket ready to remind all other central valley cities that it stays much colder in sac due to the delta breeze

I moved out here in Feb. The weather has been amazing. A lot of clear blue skies, sunshine, and moderately breezy days.

I was also surprised to find out that Sac is the sunniest location on Earth in July. We're not even there yet but I can already see how that would be possible.

Even today, when it got up to 106, it didn't feel too hot. The lack of humidity makes the extreme temperatures much more bearable. Also, it cools off considerably at night, and so, it's not that hot when you go to work. Then, it doesn't start to get really hot until 1ish and stays that way until only 6 ish. Then, it starts cooling off pretty rapidly, making the evening weather quite nice.

I haven't read the entire thread, so I don't know what this back-and-forth about the Delta Breeze is about. Based on my limited time here, although we have had multiple breezy days, I am skeptical as to whether this is a real meteorological phenonemon.

If you're not chimmy then let me help you out.
First rule of city data
Never bring up the delta breeze because when you do, you bring out the chim and his 5 pages of talking points. Nobody wants that.
Don't ever do this again, itinerant. You've been warned

So in addition to Concord being a miserable town, it has miserable weather?

Heat index doesn't tell the whole story. I was outside hiking all day and it was great. Sacramento has better air quality and more rain too.

Yeah that guy has been waiting 3 years to be able report those temps, LOL.

I've been out of the country, and missed our heat wave. But I've been monitoring temps and keeping in touch with folks back home on the weather. Drove to Sac from SFO well after midnight last night. It was 56F in SF, Sac was 74F.
