i forgot to comment on this. we all could definitely learn from each other, no matter the cultural, religious, or education differences.

i would bet though, that you have more in common with most mormons than you realize. i have found, through my many, long years of life (ok, i'm lying; i'm only 28), that most of us have tons in common. in fact, most religions still have plenty in common, though most of them would probably deny that fact until the cows came home.

the problem that is see is that it is human nature to focus on the differences, few though they are, and to ignore the multitudes of similarlities. this is where fear, prejudice, and the extremes of stereotyping come from, i think.

i know i certainly fall into this trap quite often.

just my two cents on the topic.

My best friend is a mormon but a jack mormon so it hardly counts.

We have things in common except for the big stuff like the afterlife etc.
