They need to put the camaro cop on 410 south after the 3 cut off. People go nearly 80 there because it's so empty. I try to keep up, in both lanes, but feel like I'm going 35 when I go 70. But, I guess it's not one of the more important areas of the city.

Who taught these people how to drive? You don't just camp out in the left lane. If cars are passing you in the right lanes, GET THE HELL OUT OF THE LEFT LANE!
uh no.

how about you SLOW THE **** DOWN.

there is a speed limit. if its 70, go 70. if its 60, go 60. i simply cannot stand people who are so adamant about speeding in the left lane.

THERE IS NO REASON FOR YOU TO SPEED AND BREAK THE LAW, SHORT OF SOMEONE DYING OR GIVING BIRTH IN YOUR CAR.

in short:

SLOW DOWN.

maybe you should slow the **** down also? speed limits are there for a reason and its NOT for you to break the law.

Whoa there horsey!

You're incorrectly assuming that I drive over the speed limit.

In fact, the sign "Left lane for passing only" is the law, if you're not passing in the left lane, you're breaking the law. So move over!

i have made this argument in court before and won:

if im in the 'fast' lane and doing the limit and cars are (slowly) passing me on the right, then i am in fact passing people.

again, this isnt about passing, its about retards who think the fast lane is for speeding, when in fact the speed limit is the same in the fast lane as it is in the slow lane.

My experience is that there are FAR more people speeding than there are slow movers in the left lane. I have been tailgated doing the speed limit in the far right lane. I hope SAPD puts out tons more "plainclothes" cop cars out there. I'm sick of it. Speeding is a real crime that can lead to death.

Those are the worst type of tailgaters, in my opinion (the ones that tailgate in the slow lanes). I never budge for them, they can tail me the whole way. Eventually they move out of the way.

Defensive driver courses will tell you to move out of the way for them, because its safer. I disagree, every lane change you make statistically increases the chances of a potential collision.

That being said, the left lane is for passing only, and that is where the tailgaters should pass the slower moving traffic. When drivers are unable to pass in the designated left-pass lane, I bet they try to pass in the right lanes, which is all kinds of unsafe.

Sec. 544.011. LANE USE SIGNS. If, on a highway having more than one lane with vehicles traveling in the same direction, the Texas Department of Transportation or a local authority places a sign that directs slower traffic to travel in a lane other than the farthest left lane, the sign must read "left lane for passing only."

Sec. 545.051 DRIVING ON RIGHT SIDE OF ROADWAY.
(b) An operator of a vehicle on a roadway moving more slowly than the normal speed of other vehicles at the time and place under the existing conditions shall drive in the right-hand lane available for vehicles, or as close as practicable to the right-hand curb or edge of the roadway...
