The Luckenbach dancehall is very rustic and can accommodate the number of guests that you are expecting. They can also assist you with planning your wedding. Don't know about the budget part. Check the luckenbachtexas website for more information.

Do you really want to start your life in debt because you didn't want to offend Aunt Ida or Cousin Bob?

Give me a break.

WHo said they were in debt? They want to do it on a budget. If their first priority within that budget is to find a way to accommodate the people they care about, that's up to them to decide.

Some people really do like their friends and family and want them to share in their special day.

I didn't say they were in debt--but plenty of people getting married today have unrealistic expectations of what a "budget" is--hence the concern for debt over a wedding with 200+ people.

I mean, really, let's look at the key words from the OP:

Quote:
We are trying to be as budget friendly as possible, but are expecting about 200 people. (this makes it hard to keep money in check) We are looking to have an "hors d'oeuvre and hang out" style reception, as we would like to have a pretty casual but still elegant wedding.
Just sayin'. Maybe "budget" means "moderate" then, or "average"...but I hear "budget" and I think "as cheap as I can without looking like a douche."

I have a co worker who thinks budget and inexpensive for a wedding is $12k. Insane!
