Just remember that your kids will be going to middle school with students from Serna and other schools in the area.

The school principal is completely aware of this deception. I know, it's deplorable to want to keep your child in the school of your choice!

By using the POA method you are saying that the child stays at the residence Sunday-Thursday. If they do not than it's still going around the system.

And if it is from one district to another, instead of indistrict, there is a definite loss of funds for one and a drain on the other. Not very ethical.

I can understand fudging to have your child attend another school indistrict. Each has to make their choice though in every situation.

She does live with her aunt during the week.

Confusing.

This issue could be confusing for many I guess...

...my sister used a friend's address to go to another school indistrict. There was never a need to lie about it except of course on record. She spent the night lots but did not live there.

I used my mom's address to go to a safer school though I think that is totally acceptable and ethical. Nothing to lie about to this forum though you wonder what else people are not being totally on the level about here just to look good on the internets lol

"deception" was used sarcastically. Get over yourself, Mervy.

OP, good luck. I wouldn't want my child/grandchild to be stuck in a bad school, either. I hope it all works out for your family. We have to look out for our kids, because no one else is!

So very hard to tell online sometimes *rolls eyes* but is that more sarcasm?

I don't think I want any child stuck in a bad school so thankfully we do have those working to change all the schools until they become exemplary good ones. That outcome would be so much better than simply lying (with an attorney or not, with the principal in cahoots or not) to switch schools.

To think America has come down to parents not even caring to make the schools in their very own proper boundaries better! I think the fail bus has just arrived...it is so much easier to catch I hear than to actually be an active parent in your own proper school.
