SSFCU at North Star Mall was for convenience sake...and that is all.

The only one losing out is the customer. It's not SSFCU's fault and I don't
blame them.

I've lived in San Antonio for 30 years and I have been to North Star Mall maybe
3 times. Segregated Business is in highgear over at North Star Mall...believe it.

I was at North Star today and I can tell you the mall is doing fine, I wonder where the H&M is going to go.

The only place I can think of that looks vacant is where American apparel was next to the Cheesecake Factory. The article also mentions an elevator which leads me to believe reopening the underground space were oshman's was beneath that area.

This thread was created 3 years ago but yeah, seems like North Star is busy and fine and has been this whole time.

It's becoming more pointless to visit a bank/credit union branch. I'm surprised they continue to build banks at every corner. The parking lots are normally empty.

Well I miss the OLD North Star Mall. Used to like to go there when they had a Walgreen's and Luby's and Marshall Fields.
Wasn't aware there was a Security Service Credit Union in the mall. Probably it was tucked away in some godawful corner somewhere.SSCU has pulled out of Rolling Oaks Mall too. One factor might have been rent. However Iwas told by a cashier that there were customers who wanted drive thru service which was another factor to build a new place by the mall.
I was a little girl back in the 50s and 60s here and apparently they even had a grocerystore on one end of the mall.
I Sometimes would drive up there with my dad,and push him around in his wheelchair after he got sick.
Even then it wasn't bad,but there really is no reason for me to go there any more. The place doesn't feel right.
