It's true. Wallmart had bins and bins of DVD's this Christmas, and we couldn't even get to the bottom. I suppose there must be a glut of them.

Have you read "A History of the Rectangular Survey of the United States"? Apparantly it all began in what was known as the "Western Reserve", which was a land strip in present-day Ohio, that was claimed by Connecticut. It really is a fascinating read (or was for me).

Couldn't let this thread die....
Nothing really relevant to post except that I really get a kick out of reading the posts on this thread. Looks like "Culebra/1604" thread may try to give us a run with that new shopping center opening. Anyone want to take odds on whether we get a GOOD restaurant nearby? 'cuz you know we always end up talking about food...

That's interesting about the book. I am from Ohio and there is a university up there called Western Reserve. I wonder if there's a relation...maybe I might have to read that book.

That would not be a bad idea...the dentists are much nicer to have close by. Speaking of dentist...when we bought this house in 1994 the closest dentist was on the corner of Ellison and Marbach rd...took my kiddos there for years.

Now Potranco Rd has about 35 dental offices on it...where were you all when I had several kiddos in braces at the same time??? LOL

If you are standing in front of Pei Wei and are looking towards Taco Cabana, there is a cleared elevated area that seems to be a great spot for a restaurant or bar and grill. Anyone know what is planned for this area?

are you talking about the opposite side of 1604? like right next to Madison Market? if so, there's supposed to be a hotel going in there.

No, in the same quadrant of Bill Millers. if you are driving from TC to PW, it will be on your left hand side. My wife and I had thought it would be a great place for a nieghborhood sports pub.
