considering this is San Antonio, I think they probably just sell the promise of food followed by a cup of disappointment.

I never tried Big Daddy's but the food at the Yatch Club was terrible, which was a shame, because it was conveniently located for me and also had the playground for the kids. I wonder if the failure is due to bad execution or if the location is really bad. I think a sushi place has opened and closed a couple times too.

Anyone know why Double Dave's has been closing down? The one on Potranco and 1604 is closed.

I never see any cars in that parking lot. Don't know how he's stayed open for this long.

Tried that new Big Apple bagels place in that same shopping center -- yuck.

As I mentioned in another thread, the one on N. New Braunfels just outside Alamo Heights is also closed.

That appears to be the only local one still open.

While not a restaurant, Whole Foods is building a new spot right between Super Target and the old Lacks at Blanco/1604.
