I will disagree with you on the limited variety, was at a DD in NYC a few months ago and I felt the DD here in SA had more than the NYC DD. So cannot say that is a true statement on selection.

Stand alones usually have more than the smaller, city ones. I'm talking not just about donuts, but the full menu. (All the sandwiches, bagels, twists, ciders, etc.) My comparison is to the 6 or 7 DD I just visited last week in Mass.

where exactly?

The one on Bandera and Huebner in Leon Valley should be open soon

I saw the one in Schertz on 3009 across from the walmart gas station is up already
