People on this forum, heck any forum really, are great at jumping to conclusions.

Sea Island fish is just mediocre compared to restaurants in other cities. Bayseas is so much better and it is probably a 7 out of 10. The shrimp and oyster at SI are just awlful.

Agreed, I've tried Sea Island a few times and it's just all-around...mediocre. Frankly, I've been more satisfied with Long John Silvers than Sea Island...how's that for setting the bar low?

Speaking of Bayseas (and keeping on-topic), the nearest location on Blanco closed down a couple months ago, replaced by "Sea and Wings".

There's also been lots of activity at the former Whataburger location at NW Military and Lockhill-Selma.

the Jims that closed on San Pedro by Thousand Oaks is going to be a Kenndeys Chicago Pizza
reported in August by me, the express news food section will report this in tomorrow's paper. There is a sign on the old jims now confirming this.

Looks like there will be a Raising Cane's chicken restaurant on Bandera Road in Leon Valley as well (7020 Bandera Road, to be exact). We drove by and saw the signs this afternoon.

I can't wait, I eat at the one at the airport all the time but have been wishing there was one I could go to with the family!

Cheers! M2
