I know there are some Chinatowns in Dallas and Houston and large Asian populations in some suburbs in Houston and in Dallas as well. But, what about San Antonio?

I thought this topic was familiar, so I did a search and found a thread from last week and a couple of others.

Here is a great list of tables for the Asian Population that is sortable by country origin with the total Asian population ranking the city of San Antonio as 64th: Asian population sortable lists by country origin

Also, here's another excellent report by the 2000 U.S. Census that reports that out of the U.S. population of 281.4 million, 11.9 million or 4.2% was Asian - ranked by state/city: http://www.census.gov/prod/2002pubs/c2kbr01-16.pdf

The problem with this is that they lump all the Asians together while within the Asian communities, it doesn't mean much. Indians don't have much in commone with Koreans, culturally or phyiscally. The samething can be said about Cambodians and Chinese, etc. While all the blacks in America have similiar cultures, speak the same language and have the same ancestry. While Hispanics, while the cultures might differ slightly, they speak the same language. Asians are very different among each others. Even the East-Asians, they differ completely in language, huge difference in food, and slight to moderate difference in culture.
