So, dropped my daughter off at her friend's house in Stone Oak. Passed Wilderness Oak Elementary School on the way. OMFGosh!!!! That school is ENORMOUS!!!! I thought the new middle school by us was big, but that elementary school is WAY huger!!! (I know, not a real word!) Had to stop at the HEB at Blanco/1604 afterward to get some Turkey/Alfalfa Sprout/Strawberry sandwich fixin's for my older daughter (seriously, they're delish!!). Yeah, it's a much different demographic than our HEB+. There were several wine tasting tables, some sort of steak sampling, some chick with a LV bag totally CUT me off (she obviously didn't know WHO I am! ) It was an experience. Stopped by La Cantera to go to Lucky. Ahhhhhhhhh...... much better. I love Lucky! It's just so........... me. Darned daughter, hogging the whole "working there" experience! The sale was good! I got a dress that I wanted from WAY back when I still worked at the mall (last one ~ yea! it was my size!) and some cute tops to tuck away for back to school for the girls. Did I mention that I LOVE Lucky????

We've chosen the book, Good Grief by Lolly Winston. Imagine what would happen if Bridget Jones became a widow.....and you'll get an idea of what the book is like. It's only a WEE BIT sad.....but mostly hilarious and light-hearted. I think it will give us a lot to talk about.....So, if you want to get started on it - go for it!

I figured i'd post a separate thread announcing the Potranco/1604 Book n' Cook Club. Not to exclude anyone, but to keep it local for ease of coordinating schedules....
Okay, somehow I missed this WHOLE planning stage or ... ??? was there a planning stage??? LOLOL
I know it was mentioned at GNO, but .... I missed the early planning stages or something....

Will we read novels AND cook?? And, are we cooking as in pot luck book club meetings, or..... or.... or.... ????
Well, truthfully, I can't concentrate much on reading lately... I think it's stress... either that or old age.... mmm, it's stress!!!!! LOL...

where at Potranco/1604 will you meet? and how often? it's a bit far for me actually......
