I have heard that, but for me I like the flexibility. I always try to plan a day or a weekend and it never goes the way I plan. Plus I would probably talk myself out of actually going to class. I'm never good at going somewhere I really don't want to be..

I just upgraded today...I love it!

I downloaded itunes 71 MB I believe. It only took about 1 minute to download. According to the technician, Powerboost kicks in (22 Mbps) for 16 seconds at a time randomly through out the download session then it goes back down to 15 Mbps.

I depends on the file you are downloading and traffic. Just to test it out, I downloaded a Microsoft Office Trial 593 MB. It only took 1 minute and 32 seconds! Powerboost kicked in quite a bit through out the download.

Definitely better than anything dsl can offer. As far as checking the speed, go to Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test or just find a large file somewhere (like the iTunes I said earlier), time the download, and divide the file size (in megabytes) by 60. The initial iTunes package is 60.5 Mb's, so if it took exactly 60 seconds to download that would be close enough to 1 Mb/sec download speed. However, the providers advertise speeds in megaBITs per second, which is taking the megabyte speed and multiplying it by 10. Sounds much better that way..
BTW, the speedtest.net site is ok, but not perfect. For some reason I always get faster speeds from Ft. Worth and Dallas and sometimes even Houston will beat the San Marcos location.

My speeds still aren't as good as normal, but the up speeds are showing a boost over the advertised 1.5 mbps

If you want something funny, try it with Auckland, NZ. That ping will get you killed in any game.

I do alot of "torrenting" and usually get 3MB/s or 24Mbps constant, All i can say is i love TWC but in a heartbeat will drop them if they decide to implement their 40GB bandwidth cap.
