Hey AnthonySA, since there does not seem to be anyone the Austin board with your knowledge does most the same stuff that you are saying go for Austin or is is in a worse or better position? Thanks

The new NHC Track does not bode well at all for SA folks. The center of the storm will pass through right through the middle of San Antonio bringing the strongest part of the storm right on top of us. At that point, it is forecasted by the National Hurricane Center to contain maximum sustained winds of 60 KTS (~73 MPH) with gusts to 80 KTS (~95 MPH).

That's a lot more dire than the winds that the NHC wind speed probs are predicting. Are the probs slow to update?

I see what you mean. That 2 PM Saturday "S" for the center of the storm is awfully close to San Antonio.

Steve Brown on KSAT just said that San Antonio might see 100 mile per hour wind. not good

the last one I remember was sometime between 1987-88. I remember that one because of the destruction I saw on my way to school a few days later.
