Are y'all talking about the dark black flying sewer gnats? They are bigger than the regular gnats and are soft. Mostly found near drains in the bathroom and kitchen. Yeah, those come from the sewer lines and SAWS has been going around spraying something into the swer lines around town. I'm not a sewer expert or anything, but saw them starting this project back around April-ish.

Thank you guys so much. It was our dog treats. I could not figure out where these disgusting bugs were coming from and, luckily, found you all on a google search. I threw out the infested dog treats and bought air tight containers to put the other treats in. THANK YOU!!

Read my above post and then, after you are done reading it, spray bleach down your sink drains in the kitchen and bathrooms (to include the tub/shower drain). See if that will stop them temporarily. I say temporarily because they are going to come back. They always do if the source is the sewer.

Could be fungus gnats or fruit flies, Could be fungus gnats? Little Black Bugs All Over the House? - Planted Space

Neem works, so do sticky traps and a peroxide soil drench for gnats. Flies are easier if you just get rid of the exposed food particles, check fridge & dishwasher for leaky juices & leftover food, enclose all garbage well. I had an outbreak of gnats that I finally fought off.

I had a minor infestation in my pantry last week. Exterminator told me it was these:

cigarette beetle - Lasioderma serricorne F.

Had to toss a heat-sealed bag of pasta. They found their way into it.

I have been working on the house painting and stuff. I saw this tiny scorpion on my saw horse. A half inch at most. I had never seen one that small. I tried to squash him but he did the scorpion thing and challenged me. He would flatten out or something. I couldn't kill him. He ran off. He is still out there somewhere.

Sounds like the flour beetle. Not harmful but not nice. They will eat through paper and plastic bags so all flour and grain products including cereals, pancake mix, dry pet food etc., need to be kept in metal or heavy plastic containers with tight fitting lids at least until all signs of the bugs are gone. Check all cereal and flour packages carefully and if bugs are found though it out. Empty all cupboards, wash with soap and water, with special attention to the cracks and corners.

We have had them once in our home and once in our motorhome and got rid of them as above.
