I would close mine too!! I ONLY use the card for the rewards, I pay it off monthly.

I am planning a trip to Cabela's right now, I have about $300 to spend .
I usually order online but my daughter asked me the other day if we could go there, it didn't take much twisting of my arm .

I put 5 digit amounts (and every once in a while, 6 digits)on my rewards earning cards every month. Pay in full too.
Lots of airline miles/hotel points to be had.

If one uses credit correctly, it can be a wonderful thing. For those that carry a balance, it can be hell.

TTG,

Roadtrip? Is this why you gassed up at Valero? Maybe suemandy23 will want to tag along to get that Rem 700 for her husband!

RD,

Cabela's is about 75-80 miles, around an hour and a half, from where you live. 1604 to IH-35N, then you'll see their large water tower on the left not far before Austin. It is like Bass Pro Shop, only better!

And I had BoA, they ran the Govt credit card when I was in and people were always having problems with them. I used mine as little as possible, and would never use them by choice.

Cheers! M2

It is about 75 miles from my house (probably a little less for you). It is on Hwy 35 just before Austin in Buda. I've been there once and we spent 4 hours in there. They have some awesome displays, I like it better than Bass Pro.

Cuz you don't know what the rest of us look like! ha ha. I used to see Jules every now and then but never anyone else. I was just saying the other day that we all shop HEB plus but don't know what anyone looks like. Maybe that should be the next M & G.

After review of this thread, it will now be re-opened under the conditions that the personal attacks end. It is a priviledge to have this San Antonio Off Topic thread and it was enjoyable to those who were following the rules. If the attacks continue, it will be closed permanently without warning. Don't ask questions as to why it was closed for review earlier today. Those of you who are abusing this and attacking others know who you are and what is taking place. If you have any questions about this, feel free to send me a DM. Do not discuss the actions in the open forum.

Let me remind you of the TOS, which you all are familiar with.

Per the Terms of Service, which you agreed to follow when you became a member here:

Quote:
Be civil, no personal attacks, flaming, or insults. We may attack ideas (politely) but we do not attack the speaker of the idea. Be careful with your words, there is a point where being direct crosses a line into blunt, in-your-face hostility. Please, report bad posts instead of engaging in flame wars on the boards. Insulting another member or a moderator will not be tolerated anywhere on this website. This includes Direct Messages and Reputation Comments.

Again, let me repeat, this is open on a trial basis. If all goes well, perhaps it will become a sticky again.
