I can't imagine being the cop that took that story.. so the doorbell rang at 2:30 AM and you opened it without looking who it was, went to a back room, and then found a stranger on your couch who then assaulted you. and you had three kids in the house too? there are at least a few steps missing from this.

I just don't think the "no collar, no microchip, intact manhood" is a good sign of a proper mom and dad.
Mistakes happen, dogs run out - I know that.
But no signs, no ads taken out, no craigslist posting, fidofiner, ACS, ADL, SPCA, Man and Beast - I could go on...
RD, we have the last laugh b/c he is a GREAT dog.

You'll have many more laughs too. Mine are a non-stop comedy show most of the time and there's also the other things the non-animal having people will never get. I also think we get some preferential treatment from the people in charge of how the dice of life are rolled.
