made the drive north to visit the Salt Lick barbecue place. Worth the drive. Sausage, brisket were awesome. But not being a huge meat lover, I enjoyed the coleslaw and potato salad even more!

We went to Salt Lick last weekend too! (Round Rock location). Loved the coleslaw and potato salad, too. But we were not that impressed by the meats (between us we had turkey, sausage, pulled pork, and brisket). They were OK, but seemed dry. Bill for 4 came to $80 with tip!!!

yea, I couldn't understand the cash only thing either. Felt like we were doing some backdoor deal with the barbecue devil.
Our bill was reasonable though because the kids' all you can eat was $6, while the second kid shared my plate. We thought the sausage was awesome...the pepper and spices inside...Yum. And I'm not a big fan of sausage. I was disappointed by the ribs though.
