THE 08Z MSAS SFC ANALYSIS PLACED THE LOW OVER NORTHWEST TEXAS WITH
THE ATTENDANT COLD FRONT TRAILING WESTWARD FROM CHILDRESS TO LUBBOCK.
SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS WAS IN THE WARM SECTOR WITH DEEP SOUTHERLY FLOW
ADVECTING HIGHER DEWPOINTS NORTHWARD. ANOTHER WARM AFTERNOON IS ON
TAP WITH HIGHS 5 TO 10 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. THE FRONTAL BOUNDARY
WILL BRIEFLY STALL JUST NORTH OF THE HILL COUNTRY TONIGHT. THE NAM
AND LOCAL WRF MODELS GENERATE ISOLATED CONVECTION LATE THIS
AFTERNOON INTO THIS EVENING ALONG THE BALCONES ESCARPMENT FROM SAN
ANTONIO TO GEORGETOWN. THE CONVECTION WILL BE THE RESULT OF
CONVERGENCE FROM THE APPROACHING FRONTAL BOUNDARY AND UPSLOPING
ALONG THE ESCARPMENT DURING PEAK HEATING. OUTFLOW BOUNDARIES WILL
HELP PROPAGATE THE INITIAL CONVECTION EAST AND SOUTH. THE
CONVECTION SHOULD END AROUND MIDNIGHT WITH THE LOSS OF DAYTIME
HEATING.
Interesting thing if it happens.

It needs some of that nitrogen from the sky.

needs that too, but that can also bring around high winds, tornados, and hail.. I don't like any of those.

and the ground is so dry and hard where I live. that's what I was talking about the rain not doing jack to

The odds of us getting rain are less than even.. as much as I want it to rain, I wouldn't count on it.

Out in Seguin when drought is bad the ground cracks and chips. (It was fun when I was a tad younger. We could throw them at each other. In LA Vernia it was sand though. Drought made the sand get very deep and when you go out side with flip flops on it burns you.

I think we wil get rain before
Sunday.

Severe weather alert for tonight until 10 pm. Possibly hail to 3 inch diameter and 80 mph wind. I know, we've heard it all before but who knows it could happen. I'm betting that it will since I watered my yard for the last 2 days and turned the drip irrigation system on this morning at 7 am and asked my wife to turn it off around 9:30. I called her at 2:30 this after noon and it was still running. Too much water is exactly NOT what my tomatoes need right now. Soooo, I'm betting for a gully washer tonight. Texas weather
