I am getting out of the military in Janurary and joining my significant other there. We just got an apartment together in Point Loma before I left on deployment. He is also in the military and getting out in Janurary, he is on a ship in Cali so he does really spend a lot of time out in town. We are both going to be attending college and starting fresh lives as a cilivian for the first time. We have been in the military since high school. We also have a 5yr old daughter. Where is a good neighborhood to live in that has 2-3 bedrooms for 1600 or less? Also, what colleges are good for nursing? Is the San Diego Community college a waste of time? I hope you can help, this is going to be a difficult change for us.

good luck!! All the programs for nursing have long waiting lists so it might take you longer than you think. Start knocking out all your pre reqs now like A & P , college math etc because a lot of those lists for nursing school require you have them all complete.
