I lived in SoCal from 1998-2006. Back then it was the Gaslamp. The Gaslamp was the place to be. You lived in the Gaslamp, you walked your dog there, you ate there, and you walked to the bars.

Now in 2011.... where in SD are the single 25-35 men, who are not broke, and straight?

I see a lot of postings for PB - which I think is too young, and Hillcrest - where I don't think the straight ones hang out.

I hang out in Hillcrest. I am looking for a place to live actually. Have been since May.

I am straight, late 30's.

If I found the right place to live I would move into the heart of Hillcrest in a heartbeat. I love Hillcrest.

I wouldn't consider Del Mar. Too boring.

Same with La Jolla.

I am open to any neighborhood around the park.

Mission Hills is very high on my list.

I'd also consider southern Ocean Beach near Sunset Cliffs.

In addition to not being broke I prefer someone who knows the difference between they're and there.

Job centers are in north county, that's where people with money work. They tend to play and live nearby. Encinitas, Del Mar,etc is the epicenter of mid-thirties yuppie surfer dudes. Gaslamp is for drunken servicemen, convention-goers, and tourists
