It's been happening in LA the last few years, it's happening down here too.
This is true!
My question is, where are all these displace poor people in these communities going to live.

You know, they've been trying to gentrify City Heights for years, and it hasn't really worked. There are pockets of gentrification, but other than prices rising like they are all over SD, not much is sticking.

This is true. The gentrified area in Barrio Logan is where Northgate Gonzales Market is. There are subsidized apartments, the strip mall where the grocery is, and the new Continuing Ed building. In my part, there is nowhere to build, because there are no warehouses, let alone empty ones.

San Diego's bad areas would be considered suburbs in the south or east coast as well as up both in the bay area. If you have nothing to do with gangs, drug buying or selling like anywhere in America you should be fine. The bad areas rarely look bad in San Diego some look very nice.

I work in Logan Heights and National City. Graffiti everywhere, litter, regularly see Chihuahuas and Pitbulls running around, lots of young mothers and baby carriages, etc. If I didn't work here I would never come here.

Graffiti is everywhere. I was in La Jolla a couple of weeks ago, and saw graffiti there, too. I live in Shelltown/Barrio Logan, and I've never seen any Chihuahuas and Pitbulls running loose, let alone other breeds of dogs, and there are young mothers and baby carriages everywhere.

There's a pitbull that lives across the street from me, but his owners have a fenced yard for him, and the rottweiler around the corner is always on a leash. The Chihuahuas and other small dogs in my complex are rarely even taken for walks on the street. Each one bedroom unit has a small fenced in patio, and that's where the dogs are most of the time.

Hmm I regularly go between sites and based on my observations, I see these things in those neighborhoods on a regular basis. By young mothers, I mean teen moms. Don't think there's many 15 year olds pushing baby carriages in La Jolla.

There are teen moms everywhere, not just in the inner city.

Okay sorry to insult your neighborhood. Just doesn't seem to be the area for me. Glad you like it. I personally do consider it bad. I don't know many people who would want to live there.

Everyone that lives in SE San Diego isn't Hispanic, and where I live isn't a bad area, it's an older established area. But I guess you don't know that. I work in the city, and it's nice to be close to work, plus I don't have to drive to work, or anywhere else, unless I want to.

But I guess you've never seen all of the military that live in SE San Diego or National City, due the proximity to the base.
