There is a lot to love about San Diego but I can see why it's not all sunshine and roses for many people. It's very expensive even in many of the inland areas. I'm a young SD native and find myself having the "grass is greener somewhere else" mentality sometimes.
Well said, the only thing that I notice that need some help is the beach. Those seaweed looking things all over on the beach makes it look dirty. If they can find a way to clean that, it'll look beautiful. I forgot the name of that really long beach with the carnival rides. Other than that San Diego is my favorite place to visit.

Outdoor activities can't be beat, varied topography, neighborhood pride, sunsets at the beach, ethnic food, easy to get around, having LA as a neighbor (Yeah, I said it! LOL), among other things.

Depends on what beach you are at. Coronado is the worst when it comes to seaweed. I spent most the summer at Mission Beach and seaweed was never a problem. I was just there last Sunday and water was unbelievably clear.

Yeah, I hate how dirty it is. But there are a great many things to like about it. And I don't see how it being a blue collar city makes it bad.

There are a lot of snobby-ish people on this site that are very rich (claim to be anyway) and any city with "poor" people and nonwhite people is scary to them. They can't imagine leaving their rich bland boring cookie cutter neighborhoods for anything out of their "comfort zone". The thought terrifies them. I am not talking about anyone in particular but have noticed it on this forum and site in general.

Im not sure I agreed because compair it to other message board, City Data is far more cleaner and on point. City Data does have a large number of smart educated people posting and answering questions which makes it interesting. Sure theres always people that are here for the wrong reason, dont waste a bit of your previous energy.

Have a sweet evening

Be careful with your stereotypes.

And if you are referring to me you should know that I have worked in Africa and Latin America and have no problem with nor am I scared of so-called 'non-whites' (aside from albinos of every race on the planet, I know of no other whites).

I've been around plenty of truly destitute people around the world. America's so-called poor are relatively speaking, filthy rich.

Go to Philly and see how wonderful it is.

That's because poor people and non-whites are statistically more likely to commit violent crime, so there's data to back up the bias.

3 pages of talk about weather....lol wow. Similar in logic to this Q&A:

Question: "What do you like about ice cream?"

Answer: "I love to eat ice cream when it's hot outside".

Soooo....what do you like about ice cream again?

Oh yes, I am trolling.
