I'm looking for a good list of free places to take my aunt/uncle and cousins in San Diego, with scenic and things to look at.

I'm planning to take them to
- Miramar Air show (Oct 2)
- Coronada/Ferry Landing
- Seaport Village/Start of India ship
- La Jolla, Ocean, and Imperial Beach

Anymore suggestions?

Gaslamp District from the ballpark up to Horton Plaza. Lots of cool architecture there and a nice vibe during the daytime. Old Town San Diego is pretty cool too.

For great city and ocean views/scenery check out:
-Mt Soledad in La Jolla
-Cabrillo National Monument at the end of Pt Loma (best city views IMO) and there are also some cool tidepools near there.
-The Cliffs by UCSD - amazing views of La Jolla and cliff top mansions (Here is the location:Your web browser and the Maps site are incompatible)
-Torrey Pines State Park and Beach

If you're downtown and want a few drinks with a view, try Altitude in the Marriott Hotel across from Petco Park. Good views on their roof top deck.

Other things/areas:
-Birch Aquarium in La Jolla
-Old Town
-Pacific Beach and Mission Beach
-Balboa Park
-Bird Rock/Windansea Beach area. Whenever my mom visits she loves riding/driving around this neighborhood checking out all the nice houses, beaches, cliffs.

USS Midway --> USS Midway Aircraft Carrier | San Diego Museum | San Diego Tours
Sunset Cliffs (at sunset preferably) --> Sunset Cliffs, San Diego
can be done on the way to or back from Cabrillo National Park
Gliderport --> Torrey Pines Gliderport (http://flytorrey.com/cms/ - broken link)
