One visit, and you can say there are NO "hot" women in SF? How much of the city did you cover on your trip?

And I get excited for Fall to come around to be able to wear them. I see this as a very SF kind of style.
I totally agree, but we're women... so the (straight) male perspective may differ.

There were lots of pretty ones when I was younger (before all the native middle class people left for the suburbs). About 20 years ago the homely transplants started moving here in force. You know, the ones that know they're unattractive so the move to counter-culture San Francisco from all over the country, dress in black, get odd haircuts and throw an attitude that this somehow makes up for it. Actually, that was ten years ago. Now its the unwashed, overly tight Hipster look - which is even worse.

I moved to Fresno for a couple years about ten years ago. A cousin of mine came to visit for a weekend and he about flipped out when we hit a few nightclubs, introduced him to girls from work and went the biggest mall in town. Gorgeous girls everywhere. His tongue was absolutely wagging and he was ready to move there. Yeah, little ol' much maligned Fresno had girls than seriously put San Francisco's to shame.
SF native here now living in Sac. Sacramento girls are 10X hotter than SF.

Don't know what it is, but SF is plagued with hipster, hippie type chicks who... are pretty cool in many ways, but are usually very dumpy and plain.

Go clubbing on weekends in Sactown and you will see rank 9 and 10 hotties wearing the skimpiest clothing around town. Nowhere in SF will you see girls that hot. And the difference between Sac and Socal is that those girls don't even know how hot they are. A lot are down to earth and friendly.

Are you kidding me? Los Angeles has the hottest Asians in CA. Go to any Ktown club on the weekends and tell me that SF has hotter Asian girls.

What SF has though is a whole army of White guys with Asian fetishes, they'd probably think even Margaret Cho is hot.

LOL.... Totally agree with the unshaved part. There are also too many depressed/angry looking middle aged mom types all over the town and they are the majority in sunset/richmond..

I prefer to think in terms of the following:

What is a Curmudgeon anyway?

" A curmudgeon's reputation for malevolence is undeserved. They're neither warped nor evil at heart. They don't hate mankind, just mankind's absurdities. They're just as sensitive and soft-hearted as the next guy, but they hide their vulnerability beneath a crust of misanthropy. They ease the pain by turning hurt into humor. . . . . . They attack maudlinism because it devalues genuine sentiment. . . . . . Nature, having failed to equip them with a servicable denial mechanism, has endowed them with astute perception and sly wit.

Curmudgeons are mockers and debunkers whose bitterness is a symptom rather than a disease. They can't compromise their standards and can't manage the suspension of disbelief necessary for feigned cheerfulness. Their awareness is a curse.

Perhaps curmudgeons have gotten a bad rap in the same way that the messenger is blamed for the message: They have the temerity to comment on the human condition without apology. They not only refuse to applaud mediocrity, they howl it down with morose glee. Their versions of the truth unsettle us, and we hold it against them, even though they soften it with humor."
