Which in all likelihood was triggered by the reference to politics in the OP (it really doesn't matter if it was addressed as neither of us can read minds). It's my subjective opinion. We can agree to disagree. Thanks.

"Doesnt matter if it was addressed?"

No "mind reading" required. The OP made a dirty laundry list that included politics. A number of people responded to his general tone without addressing political issues. You then post that negative responses were indicative of intolerant political mindsets. Now you declare "it doesn't' matter."

One would be tempted to ask if you were kidding. But clearly you are not.

Correct. A laundry list that included his dislike for the political viewpoints of the area. So whether someone complained about a different item, no one will ever know if they were really just mad about the political comment and just used the other item as the excuse for hurling vitriol. You are welcome to disagree with that subjective opinion (it won't change it). You don't appear to have much civility towards people's opinions.

Thanks.

Depends on the opinion. And kind of like the OP not having much civility, honesty, or respect either, right? He has posted admission that he called the Bay Area population, en masse, "a bunch of a$$holes." That he's never experienced worse in a place. Speaking of "vitriol." This after only a couple years in the area, meeting a few hundred locals.

Now why would you suppose people who responded so clearly and in depth would skip political aspects of their offense if that was their issue? To be kind and gentle? They havent been in other regard. Why select politics to tiptoe around? Wasnt much tiptoeing in this thread. The OP was quite offensive from politics to pee. He got it dished back. It wasnt limited to political grudges by any stretch. Thats your focus.

That's my opinion and you are certainly welcome to disagree with it.

Thanks

Not concerned with changing your opinion in the slightest. Just calling a spade a spade. Just what "Trump-eteers" value.

Yes. A perfect example of mis assignment and wrongful accusation. The record shows that there was a lot of non-politically charged negative reaction to the OP. You claimed itwas all politically motivated in spite of evidence otherwise. And now that you are being challenged on your bias you conflate the two separate cases. Which confirms your obsessive focus and sheds no new light on the primary facts regarding reaction to the OP. You are not the OP. Reaction to your political obsession is not reaction the the OP's overall unsupportable rudeness.

I'll kindly disagree with you here. I can (obviously) only speak for myself, but I was only taken aback by some of the larger stereotypes/mischaracterizations about the entire region. I mainly took issue with the painting of the entire region as being affected by all of those issues (traffic, crime, homelessness, excrement on the sidewalks) equally.

That isn't to say those aren't issues in some places here, and that there aren't valid points mixed in there - but it's also not true that these effect every single person here every day. Hence my response about why people feel differently than Greg about the worth of living here, even if Greg has valid reasons to feel the way he does (he certainly does).

To be honest, politics didn't even enter my mind when responding. At all. And to be frank, I could care less about someone's politics. I never bring that kind of thing up unless it's with very close friends. And I even have some friends that can be quite conservative on many issues (Silicon Valley is VERY FULL of economic conservatives, free market lovers, and libertarians).

Yah, Trump is a complete Blowhard - but that's besides the point (I also know many true conservatives don't like Trump at all) - and very off topic.

And I'm accepting of your disagreement since we're both simply giving opinions. That's called civility.

Cheers!
