No aneurysm here. I'm just keeping it real. It's simply silly to me to have a conversation about how great the Bay Area is without looking at the one major flaw. It doesn't matter how nice an area is if the majority of people can't live there because of a high cost of living. As for others, they simply choose not to live here because they know they can do so much better in another area. Many would prefer to live in a bigger home instead of the cracker box homes people live in here. Additionally, I personally have no problem having maid service and a gardener versus having to do everything for myself in this area. Some people don't think much of the weather. It's all a matter of opinion. I laugh at how people rave about microclimates. I was just driving home from Lake Tahoe and it was 95 degrees in Fairfield. So what. When I got back to the city it's 55 degrees. It doesn't matter that I can drive 20 to 50 miles to get to warmer weather if I don't live in that area. Its not like I can throw an umbrella up in my backyard and a lounge chair and enjoy it. So what should I do when I get to Fairfield? Some of this stuff is just silly. Everyone has their own reasons for living somewhere. It will always be pros and cons as you stated. To me, if you want to crow about how great an area is, I believe you take the good with the bad. Nothing more, nothing less.

What's the point of that? The point of swimming on a hot day is to cool off. That's not going to happen in a waters that are bathtub temp.

Bath tubs are actually in the low 100s... even in 85 degrees, you still get the initial "wooooh" feeling in the groin area.

You kind of are, just look at this diatribe out of left field. The OP did mention the Bay Area has flaws so why are you complaining suggesting that they didn't?

Your initial post in this thread was a complaint about the OP. Not sure how you can't see that, oh yeah you call that "keeping it real" lol.

Sorry, don't see that as a complaint about the area. Rather it was pointing out insecurites of people that simply give a one sided viewpoint. Guess that's funny, lol.
