You can't go wrong at either place - but the best steak I've had in town is at Geronimo.

For someone who's monthly rental payment is more than their income and who believes reusable shopping bags are expensive. Those are some mighty expensive places to be eating out.

Went to Santa Fe Bite yesterday and won't go back. Really bad service and a hamburger for $11.25 with nothing else--crazy! I'm sorry...it's still a hamburger. I got Huevos Rancheros for $8.95--the chili was HOT and I'm not a wimp. Way too hot for tourists and I assume it will get tourists that close to the plaza. Reminded me of the old Horseman Haven's heat. But I mainly won't go back due to the bad service and $$$$. I'll stick with Del Charro or San Francisco Grill for green chili cheese burgers. I'll be surprised if it is around in a year.

I think Santa Fe Bite will stay around due to the loyal patrons of Bobcat Bite. I do like their burgers (though I agree a bit pricey). I am glad they they now offer more on the menu, as my husband was able to go there now - he is a vegetarian and they now have a homemade veggie burger, which he enjoyed. I think they will have some growing pains as they adjust to having a more varied menu, and probably bigger crowds than they are used to. Time will tell....

First of all, I was wondering what ones were better. I didn't say I was going to eat there. Plus, I make sacrifices, so I think I could treat myself to something every once in a while, despite popular opinion.
Maybe they had some stuff I could afford...

Yeah. I can see where I made a mistake. Someone says they want a steak and follows up with which of two steak places would be better. That is how someone frames a question when they are just wondering and don't really intend to eat there. When they really were just going to golden corral.

I felt I wasn't that snarky with you, when it is very clear that you are with me. I am done with this conversation, and feel like I have nothing else to contribute. Have a nice day.
For the record, I thought you were one of the best posters in this forum.

I love Rio Chama's chile and their burger is outstanding. Their steak, however, looked REALLY sad when my out-of-town friend got one recently, and he said it was mediocre at best. I wouldn't get a steak there, based on these facts.
