According to the internet, they do this just before they migrate back north. For the past week, there have been hundreds in our yard and the nearby trees. I love it! Anyone else?

Hi There!
I just returned from my home in South Venice as preparing for our move this May. Sadly I did not see one Robin. I do hear that they are around. Where are you located? As mentioned I just returned back North and I usually have many here come March.

well that's great news! when I lived up north the arrival of robins always signaled spring to me Now I know they were sunning themselves in Sarasota all winter lol I will tell my frozen family up north not to worry, the robins are getting ready so spring must be around the corner!

We get them by the hundreds in our yard, but haven't seen them yet this season.
The real fun is when they get drunk on the pyracantha berries and stumble around, falling down.
True story...watch for it.

That's great news! That they're thinking about coming back! That definitely means spring! Although I hope they wait a LITTLE while, we still have 2-3 feet of snow on the ground. The deer are coming right up to our house looking for food, and the other day I saw a HUGE owl in my backyard. I'm sure he's hungry too, it scared me as our toy poodle was out there doing her business, I had just opened the door to let her in and the owl went swooping up into a tree from the lawn! I think he was just about to snatch her!! I've heard owls in the woods behind us, but had never seen one actually in the yard before.

Send those Robins NORTH NOW! We are freezing up here and they are our first sign of spring. The ground hog said an early spring so tell them to pack their bags and get flying!!

Last spring I saw about 3 dozen of them walking around with the cows in the pasture on Bee Ridge Rd just west of Honore.
I'll be looking for them again but this time I'll have my camera with me.
