You might've saw my thread in the georgia forum asking about Albany State University and the Albany area. My major is forensic science and i saw that albany state's fs program is accredited and was re-accredited in 2012 and that's why asu is one of my options. i didn't know that savannah state has the forensic science program too. what do you know about this school? is it cheap to live in savannah like it is in albany? what about the safety?

It's a good bit more expensive to live in Savannah but just about as dangerous.

It sounded to me like you might enjoy ASU. The people who responded also sounded encouraging and friendly. I have a friend whose sons went to ASU and I don't think he would have let them go there if he hadn't thought it was a good choice.

I've met a few SSU students who are bright and articulate people. Frankly, I was both surprised and impressed at the maturity and seriousness of a couple of them. A few others were still kind of goofy kids, but I liked them.

I also know a handful of faculty there who are good people, but none in the dept. you're interested in.

There are crime problems in both cities, but if you're relatively careful and stay away from the rough elements, you'll do fine in either city.
