I'm anti-social anyway, so should Seattle be on my short list ?

Why move someplace as expensive as Seattle when you can be anti-social in smaller, cheaper cities?

So, anyone have any ideas on how to beat the grey? Get outside? I feel cold to the bone. I should mention I just had a blood test and found I'm vitamin D deficient. Yes, I eat a well balanced diet, apparently people in this region are prone to this. We need more sun. Any good ideas?
SAD Where do you live?

I think all of this is relative in respect to the weather and the overall friendliness of the people...

1. I'm currently living in Chicago. I wouldn't look twice at someone for wearing shorts here when the weather is over 30 degrees. I remember seeing people running shirtless last year on the first day over 40 degrees. It is much sunnier here than Seattle--but what good is that when it's below 10 degrees out for months? I'll take raining and 45 degrees any day. That almost sounds tropical to me at this point.

2. Friendliness--I'm originally from Philly where people are much more assertive and talkative than people in Chicago but less friendly. I appreciate Chicagoans overall friendliness but its fakeness bothers me. After spending a large amount of time living in Germany, I'd classify myself more like them. Reserved at first but outwardly friendly once I decide you are worth my time. Seattle sounds more like that?

Point being--no city is perfect. There is a give and take to everything. I'm planning on moving to Seattle in the near future. I think the best way to learn about what is perfect for you is to experience it yourself. Hopefully after living on the east coast, midwest and then the PNW, I'll have a much better idea of where I belong. Good or bad experience, I'm 24 and trying to learn as much as possible.
