I am looking into apartments in Seattle, however I am not very good at handling a lot of traffic. So I would like to know the best areas to look for apartments with an easy bus commute to downtown. Any thoughts would be helpful.

If you're talking about in Seattle proper, almost any major north/south arterial has a direct bus line to down town. From the north end, where I live, you could live within a couple of blocks of 15th NW, Greenwood Avenue, Aurora Avenue, 15th NE, Roosevelt Way or Lake City Way and have your pick of buses. Most run every 30 minutes at the longest. If you're thinking a suburb further out, all of them have Park & Ride lots where you can leave your car and catch an express into town.
Buses aren't convenient as daily transportation here, but they can't be beat for commuting.
