My overall take on LFP is the fringes of it are similar to Kenmore and Shoreline, but it still has a lot of original owners ageing in place. That is a plus and a minus - good that people decided it was worth staying, but it also means the neighborhood turnover to a younger crowd is less noticeable.

For the quality of homes, views, size of lots and privacy you get there the prices seem really low in comparison to what you'd pay in Seattle - but they're still quite expensive for 50+ year old homes compared to what you can buy brand new a few miles away in Bothell.
Putting on my nerd hat here, just how old/young is the population of Lake Forest Park, compared to other nearby places?
21% of LFP is under the age of 18. 16% of Seattle's population is under 18. 19% of Kirkland's is under 18. 19% of Edmond's is under 18. 19% of Shoreline's is under 18. 32% of Sammamish is under 18, 32% of Maple Valley is under 18. 26% of Mercer Island is under 18.

29% of Lake Forest Park is between the ages of 18-44.
51% of Seattle is between 18-44.
43% of Kirkland is between 18-44.
33% of Sammamish is between 18-44.
35% of Shoreline is between 18-44.
30% of Edmonds is between 18-44.
43% of Renton is between 18-44

15% of Lake Forest Park is 65+
19% of Edmonds is 65+
15% of Shoreline is 65+
19% of Mercer Island is 65+
14% of Bellevue is 65+
12% of Seattle is 65+
11% of Kirkland is 65+
10% of Renton is 65+
7% of Maple Valley is 65+
6% of Sammamish is 65+

So, it looks like Lake Forest Park has a higher percentage of the 45-64 age group than most nearby cities, but not a significantly high 65+.

This is excellent information! Thanks so much We think it would be a very nice, family friendly place to live and mid-century moderns are tops on our list! Thinking LFP will be where we land someday! Thanks again for all of the information

I had a friend who lived there with her 3 year old and liked it a lot. We enjoyed visiting her - it is really beautiful with the lake and a lot of mature trees. It's also a really close in to drive to a nearby farmers market, third place books, and food court.
