My overall take on LFP is the fringes of it are similar to Kenmore and Shoreline, but it still has a lot of original owners ageing in place. That is a plus and a minus - good that people decided it was worth staying, but it also means the neighborhood turnover to a younger crowd is less noticeable.

For the quality of homes, views, size of lots and privacy you get there the prices seem really low in comparison to what you'd pay in Seattle - but they're still quite expensive for 50+ year old homes compared to what you can buy brand new a few miles away in Bothell.

43% of Kirkland is between 18-44.
33% of Sammamish is between 18-44.
35% of Shoreline is between 18-44.
30% of Edmonds is between 18-44.

15% of Lake Forest Park is 65+
19% of Edmonds is 65+
15% of Shoreline is 65+

I had a friend who lived there with her 3 year old and liked it a lot. We enjoyed visiting her - it is really beautiful with the lake and a lot of mature trees. It's also a really close in to drive to a nearby farmers market, third place books, and food court.
