That sounds kind of great. I need to check out Tacoma.

I voted Tacoma. Of course because I live there.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing inherently wrong with Swell-vue, but maybe that's the problem. The buildings there are all shiny and new and all the residents are clean, well-dressed, and prosperous looking. (Well, except for Crossroads Mall area, which I like.)

I guess I feel more at home in T-town, which has a certain scruffy, earthy charm that I love. Also I don't feel like a badly dressed hobo like I do in some parts of Bellevue.

Again, both towns have their strong points.

I count Tacoma in the same league as Pittsburgh, Pa., and Chattanooga, Tn. Those were both steel towns, industrialized and polluted for over a century. As the old industries withered, they became forlorn, but now, with the worst of the mess cleaned up, they've become newly attractive. This kind of change can happen fast, and public perceptions change slowly.

Both cities have great and interesting developments going on.
Here is a map of Tacoma's
https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer...740000003&z=12

I think that both cities are starting to emerge and really make a name for themselves. Experimenting and setting an example for the rest of the United States.

Although I much prefer Tacoma, Bellevue is starting to become much more urban, and as time goes on, it will have more character. And Tacoma has repaired itself from years of neglect, and its urban bones are strong. A truly funky and artistic city.
