Yes, just as we laugh at Californians who think that 42 degrees in February is an arctic climate (citygirl I'm looking at you!), I am sure people from Texas and other hot places get a chuckle when we complain about 90 degrees and relatively low humidity. I fully admit that I am a wuss when it comes to heat and humidity; I like it up until it gets to about 85, once it crosses that threshold I am miserable. I wouldn't last a summer in the south, I would probably whine just as much as our SAD contingent does.

Not even close!
I'm sorry, on Saturday night the news said the humidity was 45%, that is humid.

Jenlion...that does bite when you have to listen to the neighbors generator. After Hurricane Francis, we had no power for 10 days.....but the neighbors across the canal did and some on our side had their generators going.

With temps in the 90's and humidity about the same.....no place to go, nothing to do, couldn't go in the pool cause most of our roof shingles were in there....it was hard to get ice and gas....so we borrowed ice from a neighbor, sat out on our patio, and started "Happy Hour" at noon. At least by the evening time we could fall asleep...LOL.

If we move back to FL....we are definitely buying a generator.

Well when I first got here yes I thought 40-ish was just DAMN cold, and I was upset at so many days of the year in 40s and 50s.

I'm used to it now, not in a "I enjoy it way" jut my body tolerates it better then it did - I'm still cold but I'm not feeling like I'm in a blizzard like before

But if I have Calif friends or family visit they make sure to point out how COLD it is for them. Back where I'm from people put their jackets on at 70 degrees and under (no joke)

I bet you have a pool, A/C and about 8% humidity, too.

I want to see a thread on this forum one day that says "Today, I am completely satisfied with the current weather conditions."

I could've posted that thread all weekend. Guess I didn't bother posting it since I had nothing to complain about.
