Has anyone bought a memory foam pillow? How do you like it now that you've slept on it for awhile--was it worth the extra money?

Yes! Bought mine from Overstock. Daughter has temperpedic and I just bought 2 from Costco for family members. We all love them! Just make sure you get one that supports your neck properly. Try before you buy if possible, or make sure it can be returned if you are not pleased.

I have been using this Contour Cloud Memory Foam Support Pillow for years. I love this pillow, and have a hard time sleeping on anything else. I order a new one about every 18 months.

I think pillows, like mattresses, are such a personal choice. I myself HATE memory foam pillows for more than an hour or so, but I love the mattresses. My husband swears by the pillows though. I like to use a couple of different pillows and switch them around throughout the night, and the MF is too heavy for me to flip over. My husband pretty much stays flat on his back and snores away all night happily on his MF pillow. The Costco ones are pretty much as comfortable as the Tempurpedic IMO.

I've been using a memory foam pillow for a year now ($30, Target). I LOVE it - no more stiff neck in the morning! I forgot it on a recent roadtrip and lasted one night before running out to buy another. I don't "love" the spare, but it worked in a pinch ($20, Walmart).
We have since bought memory foam pad, but I can't wait to get the mattress. We've agreed to wait until we buy another home... about a year from now.

If I can interject: Do the pillows get "hot" though? If it makes sense, I give off alot of heat...lol - I have to keep flipping the pillow to get a cold section. I've read they they hold body heat. I'm having a hard time w/sheets also, I find the nicer high thread counts get too warm.

I got two with my mattress. I love the mattress but HATE the pillows. I always sleep on my side, maybe thats why. I don't feel like the bed or pillows make me hot although I have seen plenty of people who feel that way about them. I have a bad back and struggled for comfort for years until I got my memory foam.

I frankly didn't like the memory foam mattress so I doubt I'd like the pillow. If you like somethning that holds body heat then it's for tyou otherwise just plain too hot fo me. Its like sleeping on a plastic covered bed.

I sleep with a ceiling fan and another fan pointed at me so maybe thats why I don't feel hot.
What kind of bed do you sleep on Tex? I can't stand a hard bed at all. I used to sleep on a soft side waterbed and liked that but my back feels better on this one. I used to sleep on a regular waterbed and loved that as well but I got tired of it getting holes in it everytime I turned around.
I thought about the Sleep number bed but ended up going with the Tempurpedic instead.

I love my pillow (it's the curved one that supports the neck). It's the first pillow I've used that relieved my neck pain the first night I used it.
