At least he has the balls to not only admit he was doing what EVERY player in the game (including Mexicans) does, but he acknowledges it's wrong too. But it wouldn't change the result one bit because he was fouled at the end and the penalty was justifiable.
^ Anyone who thinks this is not a foul is simply clueless about football. The Mexican player was only out to tackle Robben so he could not get into a scoring position; look at the ball, it's nowhere near Robben's foot. Mexico got away with a worse foul on Robben before, where a player stepped on his ankle inside the box, so they ultimately have no right to complain about this. The game would have been very different if the ref had granted us a penalty earlier in the game.
It's hilarious how Mexicans act all self-righteous when they (and Latin American players in general) are famous for their diving and acting.
Why is everyone focusing on Robben like he's the only one who does this when there are far worse offenders in this WC? Heck, we conceded two bogus penalties ourselves! Did anyone see our game against Australia when they were blatantly looking for a penalty in the second half? Funny how there were no articles in the Daily Mail about that.
Oh, and for the Americans who pretend like diving is something unique to football, puh-lease. I've seen some Oscar worthy footage of the NFL as well.

Just because he admits it doesnt make it right, its not like has to admit anything when he is pretty bad a diving. Like you said Mexican and Latin American players in general dive, he is up there as a more frequent diver imho. Hes a fantastic player but I will always remember him for his diving.

Every player dives and every guy out there lays on the ground in "agony" every time they go down.
It's unfair to hate on this one guy when everyone else is doing the same thing.
Did you see the French dude laying down in the goal because he got hit in the head by a soccer ball? Come on..

Just deal with it Robben dived in that game.
You make generalizations about Latin Americans but the mexicans didnt dive in that game. One got kicked in the head in the box.

I dont agree, not every player dives and not every player who does dive does it as often as Robben. Most players will make a meal when hit but somebody doesnt even have to be in the same stadium as Robben and hes on the ground like a sniper just shot him. His diving is a disgrace to the game.
Like I said he is a great player, diving just over shadows it.
