Is Spokane as dumpy and boring as it looks? (real estate, neighborhood)

I was considering moving to Spokane for a job offer I have but after visiting the place it looks like it's stuck in 1973. It looks pretty dumpy with alot of white trash and almost no diversity. How the heck do people live in this place, it's like I went back in time to a small all white town...it has a small town feel without the charm. I have never seen a place with so many white people and I am white but I'm used to seeing every kind of race. Now this place that time forgot must have some good aspects to it...I didn't see any but you who are from the planet Spokane point out the good and the bad?

Wow, buckleytrain, is this some kind of reverse racism? A place is to be trashed because there isn't enough variety for you? How about I come online and gripe about a place that is primarily black or hispanic? What's the difference between that and what you just did?

Just guessing you should probably turn the job down as it doesn't sound like you'll be happy there.

You should probably avoid nearly all of Europe as well...

But to answer your question as to whether or not Spokane is "as dumpy and boring as it looks"...no.

Liberals must take an oath that requires them to mention diversity in every post. I mean it's hilarious. Search the forums. If an area is diverse that's fine. If an area isn't that's fine. What matters is how the people are. The flaming lefties just kill me though. What do they do, go around counting races and gay people? "No Mr. Real Estate Agent, I can't live here. I only counted 2 Mexicans and 1 black person today. And why isn't there a gay neighborhood in this town? No, I'm not gay and most all of my friends are white, but just knowing there are people of other races around me gives me goosebumps. I can also brag to my fellow progressive friends that my neighborhood is more diverse than their neighborhood."

There aren't enough minorities to see significant numbers in every city in the US. It has nothing to do with the friendliness of the area towards minorities or being left behind. Geez.
