Why all the Joe Buck hatred-----I have always found him to be a good solid broadcaster.

Some posters have listed Marv Albert----- I have always liked him-----always gives you an exciting and interesting telecast.

Agree with Bill Simmons-----he is a good writer but doesn't add anything on countdown.

The guy who did the Lions Vikings game, think name was Goldberg. Many calls didn't make sense as he had wrong teams etc. I guess he was pulled from further broadcasts.

yea, he was terrible.
I heard he was pulled because he responded negatively to some of his social media critics.. but of course that could have simply been an excuse when in reality they pulled him because he was simply BAD..

Yeah, I caught Joe Buck finally on the world series. I see why so many people on here have complained about him. Kind of sad when he calls one team by the other team's name.

I have noticed that in football, I do not need someone narrating the game. Especially when it is Verne Lunquist, as he does not even seem to know what he is narrating!

Back in the day, when we had guys like the late Al DeRogotis who would narrate a replay and bring up a point that no one had probably even noticed, that made the game more interesting. And somewhat educational too. But nowadays, we have too many guys who just re-narrate the instant replay "Look at the replay...Little Johnny ran past the defense and off to the endzone" like we did not see that the first time ! No insights, nothing to add to the game. Which is why I watch the SEC with the sound turned OFF and enjoy it a lot more.

Joe Buck. He's more interested in interviewing players, coaches, and family members of players during the game than actually announcing the game. He's a failed talk show host that still has nightmares of Artie Lange.

are you kidding? vin scully was one of the best ever. great voice, knowledge of the sport and the players, and he knew when to talk and when to let the crowd noise talk.

Solomon Wilcots is consistently terrible.

Never liked Dick Vitale. Always thought he was annoying and not funny in the least.

There are some things announcers do that really annoy me like
Get players names wrong
Get team names wrong or mixed up
Think they are bigger then the game
Go off on something that has nothing to do with the game
Always agree with the calls the refs make
Try to build up a team that is losing
Be one sided for or against a team
