I will be moving to Saint Louis in June and from and still trying to get it figured out. If you have lived in Cleveland and Saint Louis I am looking for areas such as

Coventry street where they have great vegetation food and sushi. They close the street down 4 x a year and have art fairs. It is really fun area.

East 4th street where all the high end restaurants located, such as an Iron chief. The street is closed off to cars and so there are tables outside the restaurants and bars and sit and chat. Does Saint Louis have a similar area?

The Tremont area in Cleveland has the taste of Tremont and all the independently owned trendy restaurants it is also a fun area.

The warehouse district is all the hips bars and more chain restaurants such as metropolitan and steak houses. Does Saint Louis have different areas like this?

Thank you everyone for your input.

Did you see the replies in the other thread you posted? It pretty much answers your question. I think for my money, the Central West End is the exact thing you are looking for. But you have other options such as Tower Grove, Shaw, Downtown Loft District, Soulard, Lafayette Square, U.City, Clayton, Maplewood.

I liked the activities in Cleveland and the great art fairs and restaurants, many nice areas. I did not like the weather. The loop looks likes it has a nice feeling

you wont have the lake breeze to cool down summers. Summers can get very hot and humid. Winters in St Louis tend to be a bit milder than cleveland
