Default There are two newer hospitals...

in the bedroom community, Spring Hill/Brooksville, FL about an hour drive from Tampa. They are Brooksville Regional and Fair Oaks Hospital. Both are huge, serious facilities and are located on Cortez (U.S. 50) just off Veteran's Expressway. Many medical facilities around that area and offer potential job opportunities. As for smack dab in the middle of Tampa, the other posters will know of those.

Best wishes in your hunt for a great job!

Lakeland is also supposed to have a very good hospital. My neice lives and works there and it sounds like it's a good place to work. It's may be a bit further away then you would like to work though, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

I know a lot of nurses who work at Tampa General. They seem pretty happy with their job.

My wife works at St. Joseph's...it's not very far from USF and it seems like a good place to work.

St. Joe's is a GREAT hospital. My cousin was Chief of Cardiac Surgery there for years. The women's hospital is great as well. Both of my kids were born there.
