This is my first year in Florida and it has been a bit of an adjustment because where I used to live I was an avid hiker.

I have been waiting until the winter to do any kind of nature walking but I noticed walking out at Honeymoon Island that the mosquitoes are still quite bad. It seems like most of the places to walk around Tampa are in swamps so I was hoping to avoid the mosquito season.

When do they go away? Do they ever completely?

If it doesn't get cold, they never go away.

Smile mosquitos

Corvidae,
Better not wait for mosquitos to disappear, cause it may never happen.

Just be sure and protect yourself from bites. Nasty ones carrying W Nile desease have been present lately in Pinellas county.
