How is the Downtown Tampa area. Is it a Cosmopolitan feel,or Is it dead after 5pm with no shopping, attractions or anything of that sort? Also, are there any condominiums downtown, because I will be living downtown if I do choose Tampa to live...

Currently it's pretty much dead after 5pm, although there are a couple decent bars and restaurants and the mayor wants downtown to develop into a nighttime destination sometime in the near future. There are quite a few condo developments going in downtown, but IMO the prices are too high right now.

Here is a great link about downtown Tampa

Hi Life Tampa - Home

The Channelside area of downtown has the most life after 5pm.

Downtown Tampa is getting there, but it still has quite a way to go. The city mayor, Pam Iorio, has a plan for the downtown to become a bustling residential area so condo projects have flooded the area. Retail and nightlife are slowly following suite. Today, there are around 600 condos on the retail market ranging from $150,000 (Hyde Park Place) all the way up to $6,000,000 (Trump Tower).
