I can't wait for the daily afternoon thunderstorms! I love them.

I enjoy watching the clouds build up and the vividness of the blue, green and white summertime Florida colors, in the sky and on the ground.

As long as you don't have to drive in them or through them, they're OK. One of the worst experiences of my life was driving in a T-storm along 41 in Apollo Beach where the lightning was striking close to the road.

Gonna be a while. High pressure is gonna lock down on top of us this weekend. This will be our first taste of true hell with sinking air that will heat things up.

Very true. I can't drive, so I am just a spectator of the storms.

Well, that's what's happening now. And the air seems rather thick and hazy. Like hardly any movement.

That is what happens as air sinks thanks to the high being on top of us. Sinking air heats up due to friction, and also puts a cap on any lift. No lift means little or no T-storm growth. Gonna be a while before we get out of this dead pattern.

Could get really nasty, the way the air is, all full of stuff and no storms or breeze to clean it up. Ugh.

We will still get a seabreeze, but no lift to bring us any rain.
