Was in both Irene and Sandy in NYC, and quite a few near misses in Tampa. Hurricanes not an issue for me.

Same for many who don't own a home or have nothing to loose.

I plan to leave FL by the end of the year. This is just the start. Tampa Bay will not go another 90 years to be hit again, no way. Another will happen within a few years.

Maybe, but probably not. Do you understand the path a hurricane must make for it to directly hit Tampa/St Pete area?

Exactly! I keep telling people this. The ones we have to be most concerned with are the ones that come from the Gulf, but even those are not as strong as a CAT 5.
