The Gulf is keeping you warm. 31F in Valrico this morning. Guess I should have covered some plants last night.

Meh. It’s Florida, they’ll grow back shortly.

Electric out. No problems during Irma, but evidently TECO can't handle cold.

Oh for EFF's sake, are you kidding me? TECO IS THE WORST, I tell you. THE WORST.

Let me prepare myself right now for an outage.

Just checked, a total of 720 customers reported without power. Keep on moving folks, nothing major to be found here.

Has always been a problem throughout the state for the 40 years I have lived here. Back in 89 they did rolling shut offs throughout the state, but some areas-including Orlando were without power for about 3 days-including Christmas day itself. . Everyone is using their central heat or turning on portable electric heaters. This takes more power than just fans and air conditioning. I believe Florida gets power from Ga. sometimes to beef us up, but they are using their power for the freezing temps up there, too. So [power outages. Some areas have had wires down because of the winds, too. Old trees and limbs land on lines etc.

I just posted an hour ago there was a total of 720 customers reported without power, now at 657. There's no rolling outages, there's no major outages in this area.

I know plus the cold weather clouds. But it cleared a hour before sunrise and the temp went down 6 degrees in a hour to 38. I don't expect anything below 35 for my area.

But not for long mind.Give me a cloudless sky,a golden beach and a cold brewski any day.
Amen, best post of the day. We've had the fireplace and wood burning stove going the last few days.
