No one can LIVE here. But yeah, it's a nice place to exist.

In Dallas we have had a lot of rain recently. Yesterday we had a inch of rain and last week it rained for 3 days. Now we only need 9 inches of rain. We are slowly getting out of the drought.

Oh I thought you were moving because Texas will be like California in a decade. I just thought you wanted a jump ahead of the situation

Why not? Not much going on in Alvarado, either. It IS nice to be within 15-20 minutes of Fort Worth and the Interstate is less than a quarter mile from my abode. Tell me about Early, TX, I may be getting itchy feet one of these days. I'll also go to the main page here and check that out, too.

Well there's somewhat of a mall (a little bit of everything there but an arcade and a music store), a movie theater that's fairly nice, an indoor skating rink, and then Brownwood's got a bowling alley. Brownwood/Early just sorta blend together. Surprisingly, though Brownwood's bigger, there's not much to speak of there, except a couple of mediocre parks.

There's Lake Brownwood an hour or so away, but the jury's torn on the drought subject as I'm sure you've seen and frankly, I don't think it's gonna be much of a lake in a few years' time. Hope I'm wrong though!

Shoot, Alvarado is nearly twice the size of Early, and there is NO movie house here (closest is Cleburne or Burleson), no skating rink, no bowling alley. I guess being a bedroom community to the DFW area, driving is no big thing. May have to drive over there one day (bout a hunnert miles or so), cruise around. Thanks!
